(ABHEC) Accreditation Criteria

(ABHEC) establishes comprehensive standards for educational institutions operating globally. Institutions are required to implement and maintain these quality benchmarks to qualify for accreditation, demonstrating their commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.

Criterion I – Mission

Criterion III – Student Learning & Teaching Effectiveness

Institutions must demonstrate measurable student learning outcomes and a commitment to high-quality teaching practices.

  • Teaching excellence is supported and continuously improved.

  • Learning environments are engaging, inclusive, and effective.

  • Resources are aligned to support both teaching and learning success.

Criterion IV – Application of Knowledge

  • Institutions promote lifelong learning through innovation, research, and real-world application.

  • A culture of continuous learning is reflected across faculty, staff, and students.

  • Programs emphasize critical thinking, diverse knowledge, and intellectual growth.

  • Curricula are regularly evaluated for global relevance and technological advancement.

  • Ethical application of knowledge is actively encouraged.

Criterion V – Resources, Planning & Effectiveness

Institutions must demonstrate strong resource management, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness to achieve long-term sustainability and academic quality.

  • Resources are allocated responsibly to support academic programs and future growth.

  • Evaluation systems provide reliable data on institutional performance.

  • Continuous improvement is driven by data-informed decision-making.

  • All strategies align with the institution’s mission and long-term objectives.
